What is KeptPDF?

KeptPDF is a PDF toolkit that runs entirely on your own device. Open a file and redact names, SSNs, and other identifiers with automatic detection, OCR scanned pages, sign, compare, organize, compress, and more, around 25 tools in all. Your documents never upload anywhere: the whole engine runs in the browser, and it works offline once installed. Every redaction ships with an audit certificate that proves what was removed and that the removal held up under verification. There is also a command line version for bulk jobs on your own servers. Free core tools, paid plans for professional features.

Key features

  • On-device OCR for scanned pages
  • Works offline: installable app, documents never upload
  • Sign, compare, organize, compress, and about 25 tools total
