What is Meshory?

Meshory is a local-first desktop application for organizing 3D printing model libraries. It indexes STL, 3MF, OBJ, FBX and STEP files where they already sit across folders, external drives and NAS shares, without moving, copying or uploading anything. A background worker pool renders thumbnails for all five formats, and a built-in viewer opens models directly, including multi-plate Bambu 3MF projects and STEP assemblies with their part colors and names kept intact.

Duplicate detection works two ways: exact content hashing for identical copies, and geometry fingerprinting that groups re-exported or renamed versions of the same mesh, with rotated and rescaled near-copies routed to a separate review queue. Folders holding the same set of models collapse into a single finding. Archives are covered too, so models inside ZIP, RAR and 7Z files are browsable and previewable without extracting them first.

Organization sits on top of the existing folder tree rather than replacing it: collections, tags, favorites and per-model notes. Optional AI tagging and semantic search run through the user's own OpenRouter API key. Models hand off to any of 15+ auto-detected slicers in one click.

Nothing is uploaded. Scanning, rendering, hashing and search all run on the local machine, and no account is required, only a licence key. The only operations that write to a library are ones the user initiates: renaming a file, and moving one to the system Trash.

Meshory is in early access and closed source. macOS ships a signed, notarized universal binary, Windows an NSIS installer, and Linux AppImage and deb packages. One-time purchase, no subscription.
