What is Screentell?
Screentell is an in-browser screen recorder and video editor designed for creating product demos and tutorials. It captures screen footage, webcam feeds, system sound, and microphone audio simultaneously without requiring local software installation. Because video rendering and processing happen entirely within the browser using Web APIs, recordings remain private and never leave the user's device.
The platform includes multi-track editing tools such as 2D focus zooms, 3D perspective transforms, screen cropping, and customizable background layouts with padding. Users can split clips, adjust playback speeds, add visual annotation stickers, and resize or reposition the webcam layer even after recording is complete. Screentell supports importing external videos for editing and allows exporting final projects in MP4, WebM, or GIF formats.
